Wor-Wic Community College will hold a free glass resin dolphin-making workshop on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 6:20 p.m.
Wor-Wic Community College is inviting the public to a free virtual reading by Emmy Pérez, author of poetry collections “With the River on Our Face,” “Solstice,” “Boxes With Zero Tolerance” and “Paper America” on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 7 p.m., via Zoom. The college will also hold a live watch party in room 200 of the Hazel Center on the Wor-Wic campus.
Wor-Wic Community College will hold a free gyotaku fish printing workshop on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 5 to 6 p.m., in room 201 of the Hazel Center on campus. Gyotaku is the traditional Japanese method of creating art from fish printing. The workshop will be led by Robby Chin, a local artist who runs easternshoregyotaku.com.
Wor-Wic Community College will host its Fall Festival: A Celebration of Arts, Community and Connections
Awards and recognition ceremonies recently celebrated the achievements of 59 Wor-Wic Community College graduates who earned associate degrees in nursing (ADN) and certificates of practical nursing (CPN).
Wor-Wic Community College is currently accepting registrations for credit classes that are being offered this fall. Classes begin Wednesday, Sept. 9, and the registration deadline is Sept. 8. Those who are new to Wor-Wic should apply by no later than Aug. 28 for fall classes.
Dr. Susan English of Harbeson, Del., was selected as dean of general education and professional studies at Wor-Wic Community College.
The continuing education division of Wor-Wic Community College will offer a “3D Modeling and Printing Fundamentals” class on two Mondays, Sept. 28 and Oct. 5, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., in the makerspace at the Patricia and Alan Guerrieri Technology Center at the college.
A total of 577 Wor-Wic Community College students have been recognized for superior performance by being named to the dean’s list for the recently completed spring term.
The following students completed their program requirements to graduate with a certificate (CT), associate of applied science (AAS), associate of arts in teaching (AAT), associate of science (AS) or associate of arts (AA) degree from Wor-Wic Community College this past spring.
